Vintage 1962 Fender Precision Bass Fiesta Red Refin Bass Guitar
I’m THRILLED to announce the sale of a 60+ year collection coming through The Music Locker. This collection spans all decades from the 60s to the present day. They have been collected by a true lover of vintage. This particular guitar was the cream of the crop. This was purchased second hand in the 1980s by the current owner from a local guy. It’s been kept as it is now since then. 1962 veneer board, a very well done early refinish with a white base coat, 62 dated neck and body, original black bottom pickups, 62 pot codes. The only thing I can see that is a replacement is a Japanese input jack socket. The original lined Fender hard case has no logo so it dates slightly later to 1964-1965. It’s a very very nice example. Bar the refinish and the input jack, it’s an impressively original bass guitar.
Please bear in mind the following – each guitar in the collection has been stored in a loft for decades. Therefore will require a clean and re-string. I can give the buyer two options. Firstly I can send as it is pictured to you, and you get it cleaned and restrung yourselves. Or I can do it this side when it has sold but this will add a week on to the dispatch time.
