Vintage 1980 Marshall JMP 50w 2144 2×12 Amplifier Combo
I have not seen another of these beautiful amplifiers before – model 2144. This is the Master Volume Reverb 50w Combo, dating to 1980. This is one of the last JMP combos before the switch to JCM800s. The amplifier comes complete with the two Celestion T3054 12″ speakers dating to 14th July 1980, all original transformers, a lovely quad of Marshall ECC83s and a pair of EL34s. This is in exceptional cosmetic condition. I believe the handle has been replaced and there is a possibility this has been recovered by Marshall themselves in period correct Elephant levant tolex too. The amplifier really does sing! You’ll not be disappointed in this one for sure. Please check out the pictures below as these form part of our description. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the item in more depth upon receiving.
