Vintage 1975 THE ALARM Marshall JMP 4×12 Guitar Cabinet

Vintage 1975 THE ALARM Marshall JMP 4×12 Guitar Cabinet

A wonderful JMP era 1975 Marshall 4×12 cabinet, previously owned by James Stevenson of The Alarm. It also comes complete with a band logo’d heavy duty flight case. Inside is a mixture of period correct Celestion G12H speakers, as pictured. To the best of my knowledge, there is 1x original July 1975 G12H T1281 cream back inside with the original 0444 cone. There are then a pair of July 1978 T1281 speakers that have had the original dust-caps glued on to them to look original, and 1x early replacement April 1973 Greenback T1217 inside.

As you can see, they are all within a couple of years of one another and clearly show this was very well used by James during his time of gigging it. However, whoever sourced his gear for him has sourced good close matching speakers. The sound is to die for – it really is. There’s something quite endearing about the different speakers inside. The condition is gigged, as you may expect, with quite a few scuffs and marks to the cabinet. This has been on so many stages, TV shows, radio shows, and much more. It is a classic and original celebrity owned cabinet. Please check out the in-depth pictures below as these form part of our description.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment has been inspected by a competent person in the UK to ensure it complies with UK safety standards. This may mean it does not comply with the current standards in the country in which it will be subsequently used. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to ensure it is inspected by a competent person knowledgeable with the relevant electrical safety standards within that country, prior to connecting to any live electrical circuit.

It is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all items as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary. This includes valves, capacitors, transformers, potentiometers, frets, etc. This gives the buyer the option of tailoring to their exact needs, and may mean that the item is not operating at optimum performance levels. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the item in more depth upon receiving.
