Vintage 1966 Hofner 500 Violin Beatle Bass Guitar
Vintage 1966 Hofner 500 Violin Beatle Bass Guitar
The ‘Beatle’ bass is one of the most recognisable and collectable bass guitars when it comes to vintage. Introduced in 1956, it came to fame when the young Paul McCartney fell in love with one in Hamburg. Since then it has been a part of every decade and has never lost it’s striking appearance.
This is no exception to the rarity and build-quality of these early versions.

Cosmetic Inspection
Brilliant, used condition. There is a small bit of wear to the front, as pictured, where the previous owner would have played it. Please do bear in mind that this is a 46 year old guitar so it won’t be like a guitar coming straight out of the shop but, for it’s age, it’s brilliant condition.
Originality
We’ve inspected this guitar thoroughly and we believe this is all original except the reissue pickguard. We’ve included as many photographs as possible.
Summary
Had this been 3 weeks prior, it would be a 1965 Hofner 500/1 fetching double the asking price. Grab a bargain guitar with so much history. This is a very rare and collectable guitar. Not only is this sure to increase in value year on year, but also it can be an enjoyed investment.
We welcome anyone to come have a play on this. We are happy to discuss any deal, including part exchanges, on 07970061897.
