Vintage 1963 Hofner Super Solid V3 Model 173 Electric Guitar
I picked up this incredible guitar from an auctioned house clearance, and it is one of the early versions of the V3 Super Solid, serial number just 1438. This one has been exceptionally well looked after, with very little to report. The original pickups sound awesome and are the ‘Super’ labeled versions. It has 3x original knobs and 1x replacement but period correct Selmer knob as you can see, otherwise original. The High-E tuning peg is ever so slightly bent but otherwise in brilliant condition – one of the best I’ve seen! To the rear of the body, you can see the line following one piece of the body, but this is purely cosmetic and not structural. It’s a real piece of guitar history and a lovely guitar at that!
