Vintage 1957 Hofner Club 50 Natural Blonde Electric Guitar OHSC

Vintage 1957 Hofner Club 50 Natural Blonde Electric Guitar OHSC

This is a real beauty of a guitar – an extremely early Hofner Club 50, shown by the round control panel, complete with the original green lined hard case. It has been exceptionally well looked after, with very little to report. The guitar dates to 1957, with the thin pickups and pearled headstock, and it really does sound awesome. The control panel knobs are missing all but one of the top gold buttons, and the pickguard missing a bracket that secures to the side of the body. However, it is sturdy and doesn’t flop about as it is. The strap button has been moved from the heel of the neck to the side of the heel, leaving a small hole on the heel. The neck is extremely sturdy indeed. This has just come back from our tech and has been restrung and setup to play extremely well. The original case is a little battered, as you can see, with a few stickers on it. It holds the guitar well, but is not in the best of conditions. Please have a close look at the high resolution photographs below, as these form part of our description.
