2000 Fender Custom Shop Closet Classic 1956 Sunburst Stratocaster Scalloped
I am ever so excited to offer this beauty. I found it at a local auction house on the East Coast. It’s a wonderful 2000 Custom Shop Closet Classic, 1956 Strat, that has had some alterations over the years from a very good player. Firstly it’s had the neck replaced for a scalloped neck. My belief is this is also a custom shop neck, but I cannot verify this as it has been glued in place. The neck has a set of headless Gibson Firebird machine heads which work really well! The pickguard has been replaced (new screw holes underneath), but the original pickups/covers/pots/knobs are there. He then swapped out (but kept) the 3-way switch for a 5-way (in a bag), and the original bridge saddles swapped out for some newer ones (the originals in the bag).
Coming with the guitar is an incredible cocobolo wooden strap too, and the original certificate and hard case. It’s an incredible looking and playing guitar, that’s really been well loved by the previous owner. Definitely a players guitar, but a nice one at that! Please see the pictures as these form part of my description. Grab a bargain!
