Cosmetic Inspection

This has recently undergone a service and set up. As pictured, there are a few marks from playing, making this a beautiful naturally road-worn guitar.

Originality

In our opinion, this has had the following done to it. The nut has been upgraded to a brass nut – making the tone one to die for – the pots and switch have been changed, the scratch plate is a reissue – but looks original – and the neck pickup has been, in our opinion, upgraded. There has been a previous route to the body, as pictured below, where another pickup was added in. This has been removed and is now hidden underneath the scratchplate. This has no effect on the sound. This guitar is not one for the collector but one for the professional player. We can almost guarantee that you won’t find a better sounding and playing telecaster out there!

This guitar comes with the original hang tags and the original bridge cover.

Summary

Overall, this is a very rare and collectable guitar. Not only is this sure to increase in value year on year, but also it can be an enjoyed investment.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment has been inspected by a competent person in the UK to ensure it complies with UK safety standards. This may mean it does not comply with the current standards in the country in which it will be subsequently used. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to ensure it is inspected by a competent person knowledgeable with the relevant electrical safety standards within that country, prior to connecting to any live electrical circuit.

It is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all items as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary. This includes valves, capacitors, transformers, potentiometers, frets, etc. This gives the buyer the option of tailoring to their exact needs, and may mean that the item is not operating at optimum performance levels. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the item in more depth upon receiving.
