Vintage 1971 Orange Matamp OR100 251 Valve Amplifier Head w Cover
This is a legendary super early Orange Matamp OR100, complete with the original Orange labelled vinyl cover. It’s one of the later examples of the ORMAT amplifiers, dating to 1971 (serial 251). I found this in Manchester, tucked in a corner of a store. It had been brought in from the original owner, and had a broken handle which they replaced, and changed the plug to a modern IEC, otherwise kept it as original. I couldn’t help but buy it! Inside is a set of original Partridge transformers, alongside a set of replacement 4x EL34 valves and 2x ECC83 valves. My tech recapped the amplifier to make it quieter, otherwise kept it original.
