Vintage 1968 Fender Palomino USA Natural Acoustic Guitar 1960s

Vintage 1968 Fender Palomino USA Natural Acoustic Guitar 1960s

A beautiful Fender Palomino acoustic guitar, dating from 1968. These were produced during the CBS period during the late 60s, and was Fender’s attempt at gaining a foothold in the ever-growing acoustic market. This one features a dreadnought shaped body, with a classic Fender CBS bolt on neck with large headstock. The tuners are the desirable Kluson Deluxe white button model, as found on Musicmaster etc models during this period. It features an internal reinforcement bar as with all Fender acoustics of this period, with factory number stamp to inner body. In good used condition for its age – as you can see there is some lacquer checking on this one (owing to the heavy poly applied on an acoustic body, during this period). These are all cosmetic and the guitar has no structural issues or repairs. Plays very nicely indeed, with a comfortable low action, bolstered by the super slim, typical Fender bolt on neck. Not your usual acoustic sounds – punchy and boxy, almost playing like an electric owing to the neck shape. Provides authentic vintage tones and 60s Fender Craftsmanship. A great piece of 60s Fender history. Please see the pictures below as they form part of the description.
