Vintage 1966 Fender Telecaster Pink Refin Rosewood Guitar 1960s

Vintage 1966 Fender Telecaster Pink Refin Rosewood Guitar 1960s

This incredible guitar was purchased right out of the untouched North West of Ireland. Where it had been all it’s life. I took a trip over there to purchase a load of gear from the original owner, John. This was one of the nicest pieces. John purchased this off another friend in the 1980s, who I also met. The North West of Ireland had an incredible amount of American air bases where they bought over a load of their gear. This would have been one of them! I garauntee you’ll not find a nicer neck on a guitar again.

John put this through some work over the years, as you can see, but it is really one of the nicest players guitars you’ll see. Originally olympic white (remnants only seen in one of the screw holes to the 4-bolt neck), then refinished in Shoreline Gold, and then refinished again in the pink you see in the 1980s. He routed the body for a middle pickup and a humbucker, which was reversed again. The pickguard is most likely unoriginal because of this, but it is certainly vintage (1970s?). The neck dates to 1966 and the body is definitely correct, along with the wonderful pickups as pictured below.

The pots date to 1966 and are original along with the switch, but have been re-wired when the middle pickup was put in. Original tuners too! Cosmetically in brilliant condition – a real head turner. I love this guitar – it is full of character! You will not be disappointed with this beauty!
