This is a wonderfully rare original 1964 Vox AC30 Top Boost version that I purchased from a house clearance auction. It’s completely uncirculated and is the first time it’s come to market since 1964! It has the grey top and blue speakers from mid 1964 – a rare combination. The amplifier dates to 1964 by the serial number, circuit board, tolex, and panel. All three original transformers work great, alongside a quad of original EL84 valves, a Mullard GZ34 rectifier, and a nice set of various pre-amp valves.
It’s certainly been well used but well looked after and regularly serviced. It is missing all three handles and vents, and an external speaker jack socket added to the rear, otherwise original. This is definitely one heck of an original amplifier, that is a brilliant example at that! You’ll not be disappointed. The amplifier part itself has recently been serviced by a UK leading amplifier tech and it plays great! Please check out the pictures below as these form part of the description.
