Product Description

Vintage 1964 Vox AC30 Super Twin Top Boost Piggyback Amplifier

Vintage 1964 Vox AC30 Super Twin Top Boost Piggyback Amplifier

This is an extremely rare top boost Super Twin (matching) that came from the original owner who purchased in the 1960s. He has kept this as original as possible and in amazing vintage condition, as pictured.

Service History

We pride ourselves on our inspections and the professional service of each amplifier, making this ready to plug in and play anywhere within the UK. This has just been looked at and cleaned up to the best of our ability.

Cosmetic Inspection

You can see the condition of this amplifier in the photographs. It is a beauty! The head has next to no wear on it at all. However, there are a few scrapes to the tolex of the cabinet where the previous owner lent the cabinet to a friend. He spoke about the heartbreak when it was returned with the Vox logo cracked too. However, you will struggle to find another that is in this original condition.

Originality

In our opinion, this is all original. Everything of value still remains, including the transformers, speakers, cones, etc. The original voltage selector is included, as pictured, but has been removed. This could easily be put back for all you american viewers!

Summary

One of the best quality amplifiers you’ll find. These exceed the quality of most new amplifiers and are always on the increase in regards to collectability and value.

The Music Locker prides itself on offering vintage and collectable pre-owned instruments and equipment (the Products).

We take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment has been inspected by a competent person in the UK to ensure it complies with UK safety standards. This may mean it does not comply with the current standards in the country in which it will be subsequently used. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to ensure it is inspected by a competent person knowledgeable with the relevant electrical safety standards within that country, prior to connecting to any live electrical circuit.

It is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all items as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary. This includes valves, capacitors, transformers, potentiometers, frets, etc. This gives the buyer the option of tailoring to their exact needs, and may mean that the item is not operating at optimum performance levels. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the item in more depth upon receiving.

The Music Locker cannot accept responsibility for any costs of refurbishment to a standard different to the one advertised.
