Vintage 1964 Selmer Constellation 20 Twenty 2×12 Valve Amplifier
Arguably one of the most iconic looking Selmer amplifiers out there – the crocodile skin era! This Constellation Twenty dates to late 1964, and includes some rare features. Firstly, the Celestion G12 T731 Alnico speakers have a sound to die for! Secondly, the transformers in this are a little special. The green Elstone transformer is as used in very very early Marshall amplifiers and, though it is likely to have been a slightly later addition, it really adds something to this amplifier.
Originality
This has been through it all by the looks of it, yet it still retains that classic Selmer feel. The original knobs have all been replaced with slightly later replacements, though they certainly look the part. The original handle (missing on the pictures), has been replaced by ourselves with a Vox style handle. There are plenty of scuffs and scrapes to it, and some added tape to keep the tolex in place. The front grille cloth has a split in it, as pictured, but it is still keeping in place. One of the feet has been lost in the past, and a new one put in place.
There have been a few small replacements to the circuit board. It includes 3x ECC83s (2x Tesla 1x Unbranded), 2x EL84 and 1x EZ81.
