Vintage 1963 1964 Vox AC10 Twin Blue Elac Combo Amplifier

This amplifier has backplate serial number 4328N, basketweave tolex, copper panel, black Vox handles, ‘Blues’ w/ original cones, no corner protectors, radius back, brass vents, Albion transformers. All these date this amplifier to late 1963/early 1964.

This particular amplifier has had one owner in the past –  complete and in one of the best conditions you will ever find!

Service History

We pride ourselves on our inspections and the professional service of each amplifier, making this ready to plug in and play anywhere within the UK. This has just been looked at and cleaned up to the best of our ability. Latest service included – 

– Valves tested on Orange VT1000 (all serviceable and replaced ECF82 to period replacement)

– Clean controls and sockets with service spray

– Carry out safety inspection (missing cover off the base of footswitch)

– Soak test using 1kHz, 120mV sinewave into 8ohm load

Cosmetic Inspection

You can see the condition of this amplifier in the photographs. It is a beauty! This has had one careful owner all of its life and has nothing significant to report.

Originality

In our opinion, all the main components are original – including the Albion transformers, speakers, cones, pedal, etc.
