Vintage 1962 Vox AC30 Bass Fawn 2×12 Amplifier Combo Complete

I am over the moon to offer this incredible, one-owner, complete set of a 1962 Vox AC30. This was purchased brand new in the North East of England by Raymond Soulsby. He used it from purchasing all the way to his passing only last year. This was truly his pride and joy which he looked after incredibly well, and he played it in various bands throughout the North East. I have uploaded a picture of Ray in ‘The Solitaires’, with his 1962 Fender Precision he purchased at the same time as this. The amplifier itself is the famed and preferred ‘bass’ circuit that can be used for both bass and guitar. It’s the best circuit for guitar in my opinion, and truly does sing.

It’s had a recent service by my leading amp tech, and is really ready to go. With the amplifier comes the original red cover, the round footswitch, and even the original chrome stand – an absolute rarity indeed. Internally original including the 1777 coned Celestion ‘blues’ (one is missing the bell cover). The transformers are the nicer Woden’s with matching date codes, and there is a nice full set of original Mullard valves. You really will not find another like this again! Don’t miss out! Please see the pictures below as these form part of my description.

The Music Locker prides itself on offering vintage and collectable pre-owned instruments and equipment (the Products).

We take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment has been inspected by a competent person in the UK to ensure it complies with UK safety standards. This may mean it does not comply with the current standards in the country in which it will be subsequently used. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to ensure it is inspected by a competent person knowledgeable with the relevant electrical safety standards within that country, prior to connecting to any live electrical circuit.

It is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all items as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary. This includes valves, capacitors, transformers, potentiometers, frets, etc. This gives the buyer the option of tailoring to their exact needs, and may mean that the item is not operating at optimum performance levels. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the item in more depth upon receiving.

The Music Locker cannot accept responsibility for any costs of refurbishment to a standard different to the one advertised.
