Vintage 1960s Leslie 145 Rotary Speaker Cabinet Ronnie Lane

Vintage 1960s Leslie 145 Rotary Speaker Cabinet Ronnie Lane

I am excited to offer the following from the incredible Ronnie Lane Mobile Studio collection. The LMS has a history spanning from 1972 and is the most successful mobile studio in the world. After Abbey Road it’s the most successful studio of any kind, still in existence anywhere outside of the US. The studio has recorded the most successful artists of all time, at the most significant stages of their careers and is responsible for more than 750 million records sold. Now is the time to let some of the collection back into the wild, and I have the privilege of doing just that!

This Leslie has had a colourful life. It has an upgraded JBL Crossover, and Altec 418-8H speaker inside, and even comes with a moulded heavy duty flight case and custom paint job. It’s been very well used for a cabinet to go alongside an old Hiwatt head that has since sold. It’s a really incredible Leslie. Mark St. John explains on my YouTube channel just exactly what he did with this in the studio and why. Check out The Music Locker’s YouTube channel. It is in good cosmetic condition and, although tested and working, will require a good clean and service as it has been stored for some time.

This is being sold for personal delivery in the UK or collection by the buyer. We can accommodate pretty much anything, but cannot ship the worldwide. It’s way too heavy for us! If you want to send a courier yourself, that is equally ok but payment needs to be cleared before hand.

The Music Locker prides itself on offering vintage and collectable pre-owned instruments and equipment (the Products).

We take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment has been inspected by a competent person in the UK to ensure it complies with UK safety standards. This may mean it does not comply with the current standards in the country in which it will be subsequently used. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to ensure it is inspected by a competent person knowledgeable with the relevant electrical safety standards within that country, prior to connecting to any live electrical circuit.

It is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all items as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary. This includes valves, capacitors, transformers, potentiometers, frets, etc. This gives the buyer the option of tailoring to their exact needs, and may mean that the item is not operating at optimum performance levels. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the item in more depth upon receiving.

The Music Locker cannot accept responsibility for any costs of refurbishment to a standard different to the one advertised.
