Vintage 1960s Laney Supergroup Series MK1 Session 50w Amplifier

Vintage 1960s Laney Supergroup Series MK1 Session 50w Amplifier

A very special piece of history right here. I got this beauty from Europe where it had been for a few decades. It’s been well used since being made in 1969, and shows Laney’s use of wonderful Partridge transformers. This is only the third 50w I’ve had come through the store, and this has blown all the other Supergroup’s out the water! This particular one has had the mains transformer changed in the past, as you can see, which means this one is hardwired to 240v (will require a step transformer for other voltages).

There are quite a few scuffs and scrapes to the tolex, and a crack to the back white panel. The other two original Partridge transformers work very well, alongside a pair of Electro Harmonix EL34s and 3x JJ ECC83s. It’s definitely had a past, but still works well and sounds awesome. If you’re wanting a piece of British amplifier history, this is the amplifier for you! This amplifier has been serviced to a playable & safe standard by one of our leading amp techs. We take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment has been inspected by a competent person in the UK to ensure it complies with UK safety standards. This may mean it does not comply with the current standards in the country in which it will be subsequently used.
