Vintage 1960s Laney Sound Pre Supergroup PA 60w Amplifier Head
A very special piece of history right here, found at a house clearance auction in the Birmingham area! The amplifier dates to 1969 / 1970 and shows Laney’s early use of the wonderful Partridge transformers. The three Partridge transformers work very well and are all original to the amplifier. There is a matched pair of period Pinnacle EL34s and a full set of 4x original Brimar ECC83s. I’ve had a few of these, and this is one of the nicer ones. Used as a disco PA (KP Sound sticker to the front) for many decades. If you’re wanting a piece of British amplifier history, this is the amplifier for you!
