The ‘Club’ range was Hofner’s high-end range of guitars for the gigging musician. They are built to a high quality and have been favoured by many top artists, even today!
This particular guitar was built in 1960 – the 1st year of introducing the truss rod – and has been kept by the 2nd owner for the last 30 years in it’s original hard case.

Cosmetic Inspection
This is in great condition, with nothing significant to report. The only thing worth mentioning are some cracks around the neck join. We’ve taken this to a local Luthier who has made these comments – “The cracks around the neck join do not affect the guitars playability. These are probably caused by deterioration of the lacquer due to age”. We would also add that it looks like the join has been previously sturdied underneath, as you can see in the pictures, where the body meets the neck.
However, please bear in mind this is 56+ years old so will not be in the exact condition it left the factory.
Originality
In our opinion, this is all original, including the hard case.
