Vintage 1960 Hofner 500 5 Stuart Sutcliffe Brunette Bass Guitar

A truly special guitar, a 1960 Hofner 500/5 – the renamed Stu Sutcliffe ‘Beatle Bass’ – totally original and in great condition. The original pickups in this sound absolutely unbelievable, with that classic 1960s sound. This guitar has been extremely well looked after, yet it’s been gigged well in it’s time. There are a few light dings to the body, along with the top of the headstock. Both the strap locks at the heel and base of the guitar are missing and have been filled, as you can see. The original machine heads hold tune extremely well. You will not be disappointed with this wonderful guitar.

Please note, for all you musicians and collectors outside of Europe, this guitar will need a CITES certificate to accompany the export of this guitar, due to inclusion of the restricted rosewood material. This application process can only be started once purchased, costs £59 (which is included in the non European postage cost), and can add on up to 15 days to the posting off process.
