Vintage 1959 Hofner Senator Blonde Natural Archtop Hollow Electric Guitar
The Senator is what Hofner deemed the ‘Low-End’ guitar range (what a load of rubbish!). They are built to a lovely quality and certainly look the part! This particular guitar is one of the best we’ve seen and has the rare black neck (as oppose to the usual natural colour). It also has a Hofner Diamond pickup with a volume and tone knob attached.

This is in brilliant condition. An absolute beauty! The frets are great, the sound is awesome and the neck heel is extremely sturdy. There is a bit of wear to the back of the rare black neck (as oppose to the more usual natural), where the paint has chipped off, but nothing significant.
Please bear in mind this is very old so will not be in the exact condition it left the factory.
Originality
In our opinion, this is all original. The pickup and the two knobs have been professionally added afterwards, as the guitar was only produced as a fully acoustic. However, we believe this has added to the guitar as it is now playable in todays market – as it should be! The addition of these has been done professionally and to an extremely high standard – not a ‘bodge job’.
Summary
Overall, this is a very rare and collectable guitar. Not only is this sure to increase in value year on year, but also it can be an enjoyed investment.
