This original 1971 Hiwatt SE4122 4×12 cabinet toured internationally with The Moody Blues throughout the early 1970s, and can be seen specifically at the 1970 Isle of Wight festival – one of the greatest festival line ups known! This exact cabinet can be photo-matched to period images. Identifiable by the distinctive “Moody Blues” and “B” stencil markings on the rear. The stencil style and layout are consistent with other known, period-correct stencilled touring equipment from the era, further supporting its authenticity.
It is fitted with its original set of highly sought-after purple Hiwatt-labelled Fane speakers, all retaining their original cones. Sonically, the cabinet performs superbly—delivering the powerful, articulate tone these units are renowned for. Cosmetically, it remains in very good vintage condition. It has clearly been well cared for, with only expected signs of use. Primarily light scuffs and wear to the base from years of touring.
