Ex 10CC Owned Vintage 1970s Yamaha CP80 Electric Grand Piano

Ex 10CC Owned Vintage 1970s Yamaha CP80 Electric Grand Piano

This is an unbelievable opportunity to own a 10CC owned and stage played Yamaha CP80 grand piano. This can be seen on various pictures in the 70s/80s and is a piece of rock n’ roll history. We got this from the estate sale of Strawberry Rental Studios (10CC’s legendary studio in Stockport). The electrics in this didn’t work when we got it as it had been sat for many years unused, so we got a legendary technician to look at this and he brought it back to life. It now sings – truly sings.

The SRS rewired the power in this to fit UK voltage so no need to use a step transformer. This was all done external to the original power supply, so is easily reversible if necessary. This is a plug in and play kind of modification for UK voltage. Also comes complete with the pedal, original legs, and power cable. There is no chance you’ll get an opportunity like this again – with such an iconic and historical instrument being put up for sale. Grab it while you can!

This particular piano is being sold for personal delivery in the UK or collection by the buyer. I can also send by a personal courier to the majority of Europe. Please get in touch for a price as this is due to the size and weight. If you want to send a courier yourself, that is equally ok but payment needs to be cleared before handing over.

The Music Locker prides itself on offering vintage and collectable pre-owned instruments and equipment (the Products).

We take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment has been inspected by a competent person in the UK to ensure it complies with UK safety standards. This may mean it does not comply with the current standards in the country in which it will be subsequently used. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to ensure it is inspected by a competent person knowledgeable with the relevant electrical safety standards within that country, prior to connecting to any live electrical circuit.

It is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all items as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary. This includes valves, capacitors, transformers, potentiometers, frets, etc. This gives the buyer the option of tailoring to their exact needs, and may mean that the item is not operating at optimum performance levels. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the item in more depth upon receiving.

The Music Locker cannot accept responsibility for any costs of refurbishment to a standard different to the one advertised.
