Ex Suzi Quatro Vintage 1972 WEM Starfinder 4×12 Guitar Amplifier Cabinet 1970s

I cannot express how excited I am to offer this truly rare cabinet for sale. This wonderful thing was rescued from a skip in London, of all places!! It’s a 1972 WEM Starfinder 4×12 cabinet that was used by Suzi Quatro on her first tour with Slade and Thin Lizzy in 1972. It was then subsequently during her own 1974 tour. Suzi and her son have very, very kindly confirmed this. The Celestion G12H speakers are slightly later replacements (late 1973). They usually came with a different set of speakers measuring 100w. This is now a 120w cabinet with the 4x Celestion G12H-30 speakers inside. I believe it would have had other speakers during the Slade/Thin Lizzy tour, and then late 1973 added some more in for the 1974 tour.

The cabinet sounds awesome, but there is a little bit of rubbing to the speakers. I didn’t want to alter the cabinet at all due to the history of it, so the buyer will need to decide whether to repair or replace the current 1974 G12H’s. Cosmetically it’s in good condition, with a full frontage of that classic WEM cloth, and the badge still attached. It does have a little bit of damage to the bottom, as pictured, otherwise good. It’s a truly incredible WEM Starfinder cabinet on its own, and with the extra provenance, I don’t think you’ll find another like it! Please get in touch to discuss a deal, and also see the pictures below as these form part of my description.
