Vintage 1955 Gibson GA9 Tan USA Valve Amplifier Combo 1950s
Here’s something you don’t see often at all – an original 1955 Gibson GA9. This one comes complete with the original schematic – it is a real stunner. The amplifier has been incredibly well looked after and recently service. It includes an earthed 3 prong US plug, and has had the multi section wax filter capacitor replaced with a brand new can capacitor and the tone and coupling capacitors replaced with Jupiter Vintage Tone caps. It has the original Jensen field coil speaker in it, which has a small hole that has been repaired. The RCA tubes are original to the amplifier, except from the rectifier which is a slightly later one. It’s one of the nicest I’ve seen for sale, and is (in my opinion) one of the coolest amplifiers you’ll ever see! Please see the pictures below as these form part of my description.

Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the item in more depth upon receiving.
