Vintage 1964 Fender Bandmaster Blackface AB763 2×10 Guitar Amp
Vintage 1964 Fender Bandmaster Blackface AB763 2×10 Guitar Amp
The classic Fender Bandmaster is one of Fender’s most iconic early amplifiers. This famed blackface AB763 circuit amp is a transitional model with the highly sought after blonde tolex, but black face! This particular unit is the even rarer ‘export model’, which means it’s optimised for use in the UK / Europe with the voltage selector functioning. Overall fair condition, with obvious wear and tear to the head and cabinet exterior. Along with scuffs and dings, there is rusting and bubbling to the tolex, in addition to some larger stains on the side/bottom of the head.
There has been a changed vibrato volume knob, red voltage selector knob and output transformer. Once upon a time this amp had been modified, but is now back to original specs (2x 6L6). Because of this, two extra valve bases are there but not in function. Various other minor service component changes may have taken place i.e. caps ,resistors, etc.
Serial Number: A08837
