Vintage 1960s Giannini GN50 Brazilian Rosewood Mahogany Brazil Classical Guitar

Vintage 1960s Giannini GN50 Brazilian Rosewood Mahogany Brazil Classical Guitar

Well, you don’t see these come up for sale often. This 1960s Giannini GN50, serial number I-388, is made to such a high quality, complete with Brazilian Mahogany back, sides and neck, along with a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and spruce top. Extremely resonant guitar because of the exotic woods used. The owner clearly looked after his guitars and apparently this one hardly came out in all the years he owned it. This is in lovely, lovely condition. The only thing worth mentioning is the two small dings to the top of the headstock.

It really is in a collectors kind of condition, and I would honestly be surprised whether you could find one in such good condition. This weighs in at just 3.2lbs – an extremely light weight. We will also include a newer Gator hard case with this guitar for safe travels. We’ve seen this guitar fetch in excess of £3,000 so grab an absolute bargain on this wonderful, high quality guitar.

This guitar includes the internationally restricted rosewood material, so will require a CITES certificate for all countries outside of Europe. Therefore, included in the postage price for all countries outside of Europe, is the cost of a CITES certificate. The application process for CITES will add on up to 15 days to delivery upon purchase.

At The Music Locker we will do all we can for you to get the instrument you want. You’re more than welcome to come along and have a play on this through one of our vintage amplifiers!

The Music Locker prides itself on offering vintage and collectable pre-owned instruments and equipment (the Products).

We take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment has been inspected by a competent person in the UK to ensure it complies with UK safety standards. This may mean it does not comply with the current standards in the country in which it will be subsequently used. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to ensure it is inspected by a competent person knowledgeable with the relevant electrical safety standards within that country, prior to connecting to any live electrical circuit.

It is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all items as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary. This includes valves, capacitors, transformers, potentiometers, frets, etc. This gives the buyer the option of tailoring to their exact needs, and may mean that the item is not operating at optimum performance levels. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the item in more depth upon receiving.

The Music Locker cannot accept responsibility for any costs of refurbishment to a standard different to the one advertised.
