Vintage 1959 Vox AC15 1st Circuit Fawn Valve Amplifier

This was one of the first Vox amplifiers ever made – a true piece of history! What’s more, this is the 1st circuit (AC1 Prototype)! It really is a one of a kind piece for both player and collector.

This amplifier has backplate serial number 3730 and 09JD Celestion Date Code (9th October 1959) – dating this amplifier to late 1959.

Included in the sale is a top custom made flightcase to keep the amp ultra safe!

Overall very good condition, with slight wear and tear to the control panel & back panel. Please have a close look at the high resolution photographs below, as these form part of our description.


Internally and externally original, including transformers, except for a top professional recovering, replacement knobs, re-cone of the original speaker & other minor service component changes i.e. caps, resistors, etc. The 3 ‘cans’ inside the amp have also been professionally remade by a top tech, as the originals were coated in epoxy resin – which will be included in the sale!
