1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Cherry Sunburst & Left Handed.
This is the much sought after 20th Anniversary version from a great era. Has the markings on the 15th fret.
I have only ever heard rumours about this guitar in cherry sunburst/flame top/left handed! But, behold, the rumours are true! This gem was purchased from the previous owner, a previous member of Whole Lotta Led! Comes with the battered hard-case with many backstage passes to accompany the provenance.
This has certainly been played in its long and historic lifetime. It is in a lovely natural road-worn condition with wear all over, as pictured. We also believe this has had a professional repair on the neck where it looks to have split. It’s been checked over by our local luthier who confirms it is as strong, if not stronger, than it would have been before! Looks and plays like a dream!
Having never seen a left handed version of this before, we have struggled to distinguish what is original and what isn’t. From plenty of experience and research, we believe the only things to have been changed are the cream pickup surrounds, switch surround and pickguard which should be black.
I have seen these in left handed fetch $5600 in the less sought after white and black. Therefore, what a price this is for the rarer version! We have taken into account the wear on the guitar and have priced it an extremely good price!
Come along and have a play!
