Description

Vintage 1973 Selmer Treble ‘N Bass 50 SV Amp SERVICED

Selmer are one of the most iconic brands when it comes to vintage amps, built to the highest quality and becoming extremely collectable in the modern market.

Notable users include: The Beatles…is there any need to go on…

This was the final version of the T’n’B with it’s plain black cabinet and aluminium front; the circuitry was identical to earlier models. Control panel configuration changed entirely but still 2 inputs per channel, each having volume, treble and bass controls. A presence control now also featured. Both this and the TnB 100 remained in production until at least the mid-1970’s.

The mullard capacitors & serial number date this to the second quarter of 1973.

Service History

We pride ourselves on the inspection, authentication, and service of each amplifier to UK standards and regulations.

Please note that it is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all amplifiers as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary. This includes valves, capacitors, transformers, potentiometers, etc. This gives the buyer the option of tailoring to their exact needs, and may mean that the amplifier is not operating at optimum performance levels. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the amplifier in more depth upon receiving. The Music Locker cannot accept responsibility for any costs of refurbishment to a standard different to the one advertised.

Cosmetic Inspection

This is in brilliant condition. An absolute beauty! We struggle to find anything worth mentioning other than a few small visible scuffs. However, please bear in mind this is over 40 years old so will not be in the exact condition it left the factory.

Please have a close look at the high resolution photographs below, as these form part of our description.

Originality

In our opinion, the important parts of this amplifier are original, with a few internal components changed.
