Vintage 1980s Tokai TES100R ES335 Japan Lawsuit

1980s Tokai TES100R ES335 Replica ‘Lawsuit’ Guitar

This particular Tokai guitar was produced by the early Hamamatsu subcontractor in Japan. These early models are extremely well known for replicating the quality of the early Gibson guitars at an extremely affordable price. Has a beautiful figured cherry red finish, similar to that of the classic Clapton 335! We’re yet to see such a nice example besides from the Gibson brand!

Cosmetic Inspection

This is in brilliant, used condition and has recently undergone a service and set up. The previous owner has looked after this extremely well and the only wear on it is on the back of the neck. In our opinion, this adds to the character of the guitar.

Originality

In our opinion, this is all original. The dot inlays have been changed to block inlays in the past.

Summary

Overall, this is a very rare and collectable guitar. Not only is this sure to increase in value year on year, but also it can be an enjoyed investment.

Come along and have a play!

We take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment has been inspected by a competent person in the UK to ensure it complies with UK safety standards. This may mean it does not comply with the current standards in the country in which it will be subsequently used. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to ensure it is inspected by a competent person knowledgeable with the relevant electrical safety standards within that country, prior to connecting to any live electrical circuit.

It is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all items as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary.
